Lesa Howard

The Triangle became Lesa’s home in 1984 after she finished up her graduate degree in Business and headed to Wake County for a career within the desk top computer industry.  During this time, Lesa worked with her church youth group and with several Christian nonprofits. Her desire to work more closely with Christian nonprofits began to grow.

After 14 years within the computer industry, Lesa transitioned into the nonprofit sector working as the Grant Director for the A.E. Finley Foundation.  During this time, God gave opportunity to work with many Christian and faith-based organizations and to see opportunity for the church to engage deeper in community and for nonprofits to network for increased capacity.

In 2017, Lesa began to work as a nonprofit consultant in the areas of capacity building and strategy.  Currently, she is working solely with Jobs for Life (JfL) a Christian nonprofit whose mission is creating pathways to meaningful work and entrepreneurial opportunities through community engagement.  JfL vision is for all to know their God given dignity and how He desires to use their talents and skills within the realm of meaningful work and relationships. The foundation for this vision is the JfL curriculum and other products being delivered within a community engagement model.

Lesa volunteers with the Jfl class held at Community of Hope Ministries and within North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women.  She also serves on several nonprofits’ boards and advisory committees. She is very thankful to the Lord for allowing her to join Him in His work as she partners closely through meaningful work and passionate volunteering with Christian nonprofits and church. He has continued to answer her prayer from many years before.

Lesa lives in Garner and Is a member of The Summit Church.  She and her husband have two grown daughters and one son-in-law.  We enjoy all of ACC basketball and football, but are loyal and loud (not obnoxious) NCSU fans.  Go PACK!
